RAWALPINDI – On the instructions of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial, and Member Taxpayers’ Services Ms Tehmina Aamer, the Taxpayers’ Services (TPS) Wing conducted two separate tax awareness sessions at the head office of Fauji Fertilizer Company in Rawalpindi.
These sessions formed part of FBR’s ongoing outreach programme aimed at enhancing public awareness of tax procedures and encouraging a culture of compliance. The first session was held for the executive management and the second for the staff of the company. Zafar Iqbal, Second Secretary (Tax Education), gave a presentation on FBR’s role in national economic growth, the tax collection system, and the benefits of timely filing of tax returns. A step-by-step demonstration of the recently introduced digitized and simplified income tax return form was also provided to the audience for their facilitation. The sessions were attended by Ms Maryam Basit, Senior Executive (L&D, HR), along with senior officials and staff of the company. Both sessions concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, followed by the distribution of souvenirs among the participants.
