SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. —
A person died after a fiery crash in San Joaquin County early Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Stockton office.
The crash happened on Interstate 5 near Walnut Grove Road at around 4:06 a.m.
Officials said the driver of a Kia hit a big rig on I-5, and the Kia caught fire after the crash.
The driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lanes were blocked for several hours but have since reopened.
No other injuries were reported. READ MORE
