As per apnaqanoon,Section 509 of the Penal Code (amended in February 2010) gives a definition of sexual harassment. It also extends the definition not only to the workplace, but also to private spaces such as homes, and to public spaces, such as streets, buses, markets and parks.Parliament adopted the Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Amendment) Act 2022.
