As per apnaqanoon,Alteration of data rest in computer resource or diminishing its value or utility or affecting it injuriously so as to cause wrongful loss or damage to the public or any person would be an offence under section 66 of the IT Act.According to cyber law/qanoon such kind of computer crime would also be covered by section 43(d) of the IT Act.
